Queen and Matriarch encounters have become more demanding for players who are used to collecting valuable loot without finishing the fight. In ARC Raiders, the latest rebalance moves the best rewards away from outer armor plates and into the leg sections that detach after being fully destroyed. That means the old strategy of removing a few plates and leaving early is no longer as effective. Before your next run, take a look at your ARC Raiders BluePrints and identify the crafting materials you actually need. Having a clear goal makes it easier to decide whether a full encounter is worth the risk.

The change also makes teamwork more important. Instead of spreading damage across multiple armor sections, squads should agree on a target and keep attacking until the leg fully breaks off. This requires more ammunition and leaves less room for careless positioning. ARC Raiders BluePrints can help you plan your longer-term crafting priorities, but the immediate challenge is collecting the right materials without losing control of the fight. A little preparation can make the difference between a useful raid and an expensive attempt that delivers very little.

Understand What the Rebalance Means

The most important detail is where the high-tier rewards are located. Outer armor plates still offer minor loot, but they are no longer the main source of unique reactor parts and cores. Those rewards are now found inside the physical leg pieces that fall after a section is completely destroyed.

For returning players, this means familiar habits may need to change. Shooting off armor plates used to be a quick way to collect something valuable while avoiding a prolonged encounter. Now, stopping at that stage can leave you with limited returns for the ammunition you spent.

Before engaging, decide whether your squad is prepared to finish the job. If the team lacks ammunition or is carrying equipment that would be painful to lose, a different raid objective might make more sense.

Build Your Fight Around One Target

A focused approach is generally more useful than having everyone attack different parts of the Queen or Matriarch. Identify the leg section your squad wants to destroy, then concentrate damage on the relevant joints and core weakpoints.

Once the outer armor has been removed, do not assume the job is finished. Keep applying damage until the physical section detaches. This is the key step required to reach the newly positioned high-tier loot.

Communication helps prevent unnecessary ammunition use. Have one teammate call out the target and keep the squad informed about its condition. If the section is close to breaking, staying focused is usually more productive than switching to another part of the machine.

It is also sensible to establish a stopping point. If the encounter becomes too dangerous or your supplies are running low, reassess the situation instead of continuing simply because you have already invested resources.

Secure the Rewards Before Moving On

A fallen leg can attract attention from other Raiders, especially when a major ARC encounter has been visible or audible to nearby players. Even after your squad successfully destroys the section, you still need to secure the area and collect the rewards.

Avoid rushing directly toward the loot without checking your surroundings. One teammate can watch for approaching players while another moves in to collect the items. Keep communicating so the squad can respond if the situation changes.

This does not mean every fallen section will become a contested area. It simply makes sense to remain cautious when valuable loot is involved. A few seconds spent checking nearby threats can help you avoid turning a successful encounter into a lost raid.

Do Not Ignore Standard Weapon Cases

The rebalance also improved the chances of finding high-tier weapons in standard weapon cases. At the same time, low-tier weapons such as the Burletta have lower spawn rates.

For players who want to upgrade their loadouts without repeatedly fighting the Queen or Matriarch, this is a useful change. You can search weapon cases during ordinary raids, collect equipment, and reserve the more demanding encounters for when your squad is properly prepared.

There is still an element of randomness, so do not expect every case to produce a strong weapon. Keep your inventory organized and consider whether a new item genuinely improves your current setup before carrying it around.

Plan Around Your Actual Needs

The best strategy depends on what you want to collect. Full leg destruction is the priority for the newly positioned reactor rewards, while weapon cases provide another opportunity to find better equipment. Decide which goal matters most before entering a raid, and make sure your squad has the resources to follow through. If you are considering whether to buy ARC Coins, keep your spending decisions separate from the tactical question of which encounter offers the best use of your time and ammunition.
